The discharge plug can be opened when the valve is in full open or full closed position.When opening the drain plug, prepare a wrench to prevent the drain plug from coming off suddenly.Seal integrity of valve can be tested by shutoff and discharge functions.Failure to stop discharge at one end of the valve indicates that the seat may have leaked.
